بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

Bismillāh. As-salāmu ʿalaykum.

In the name of Allah. Peace be upon you.

About this du'a
The Prophet ﷺ said that when a person mentions Allah on entering his home and at his meal, the devil says to his companions: there is no place to stay and no dinner for you here. The Qur'an adds: when you enter houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah.
