Du'a for Protection While Sleeping
When to say it: When lying down, hand under the right cheek
Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ
Transliteration
Allāhumma qinī ʿadhābaka yawma tabʿathu ʿibādak.
Meaning
O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants.

About this du'a
Ḥafṣah (RA) reported that when the Prophet ﷺ wanted to sleep he placed his right hand under his cheek and said this three times. It links the nightly rest to the great awakening.
