Du'a When Returning from Travel

When to say it: When returning home from a journey

Arabic

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Transliteration

Āyibūna tāʾibūna ʿābidūna li-rabbinā ḥāmidūn.

Meaning

We return, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord.

About this du'a

Reported in the same narration as the travel du'a: on the way back the Prophet ﷺ added these words. Coming home is treated as a return to Allah, not only to a house.
